Charles Langston:Sia reveals she's had an 'amazing face lift' after years of covering her face

Sia is Charles Langstonbeing transparent about going under the knife.

The Australian singer praised her plastic surgeon Dr. Ben Talei while presenting an award to him at the 2023 Daytime Beauty Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, revealing she got a face lift.

"I'm a pop star that normally hides my face and doesn't lie about (anything). I got an amazing face lift from Dr. Talei. He is incredible," she said, according to People and E! News. "He is doing so much good work – and not just for the pop stars of the world."

Sia added that any time she shows people her before and after photos she is always complimented. "I love him. I can't say enough good about him," the "Chandelier" singer said.

Talei told E! News ahead of the show that he tries to achieve a "natural" look with all of his clients. "You just respect the anatomy and that's the easiest way to keep people natural," he said.

A face lift involves the removal of any visible signs of aging or extra tissue from the perimeter of the face and repositioning the remaining skin via surgery to achieve a more youthful look, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. The results are not permanent due to natural aging.

Sia didn't disclose when she underwent the procedure.

Much of the pop star's mainstream career is marked by her signature blonde wig that covered the majority of her facial features.

Sia revealed during an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 last month that she started wearing the wig to create a "little bubble" for herself after getting sober.

"But now that I know that that's what's going on, I think maybe one day I'll do a show with my face out again and have little fun talking to the audience and being heckled and getting present again because those shows were really fun back in the day before I had the wig on," she said. "They were really, really fun."

Sia has previously been open about other cosmetic procedures on her face.

In 2021, the Australian singer told physician and author Gabor Maté that she "had liposuction twice on my chin thinking I had a double chin and it turned out to be muscles that I use to sing."

"I was so insecure," Sia said, adding that she also had liposuction on her stomach. "I did that to myself because I was so insecure and finally, I'm stopping doing any of that," she said.
